Saint Gregory the Great (+604) Inspired Cura Animarum Companions
In 590, Gregory, a wealthy Roman senator at 30 left government to become a Benedictine Monk.
A strong and skilled homilist and administrator, Gregory the Great was a liturgical reformer, abbot, founder of school for church musicians, and mostly for charity. He emptied the papal treasury to ransom war prisoners and to care for the victims of plague and famine. Gregory the Great wrote Pastoral Care of the Soul, Cura Animarum, a handbook with duties and qualites of leaders. The Glory of These Forty Days was written by Gregory the Great. He is patron of teachers, ministers of music, and of England, and Cura Animarum, founded by Father Lawrence Ventline over a decade ago - a system stooping deep within one's being connecting with the Creator, and, in turn, reaching out, soaring to the heavens to life life lost, broken, and
in need of morphing, converting, mending and more.

Living, Life is a painting, portrait, person pushing, emerging, trying to guide one's hand, heart, head, soul and spirit.
Listening to one's life as it teaches, instructs for what life does to one, with one, in spite of one, because of one, shapes, colors, shades and shadows the eventual and colored soulful You.
Falls, failings, walls, obstacles stregthen the sinews of the spirit, soul, system.
Problems challenge and frame, even fix the Face that will be yours 'til transforming tells it otherwise. Transforming.
In a painting of many colors, moods, melodies and shades, Life shows how to choose and finally surender and be set free. Transform.
With all that is taught, caught, carried or resented (re-sent until transformed), the hardest of Life's lessons is grieving, losing, failing, feeling abandonment by God.
Then one is forced to imagine, take the brush to the hand, face up to what the painting and portrait and picture can, must look like:
Your life, your painting, longings, losses with God are one, won, Wonderful.
